An oval-shaped gemstone weighing greater than 20 carats has been unveiled as the most important blue diamond to be found in Botswana.
The state-owned Okavango Diamond Firm, which markets gem stones, introduced the discover on Wednesday in Gaborone.
It has estimated the stone was shaped between 500 million and three billion years in the past.
