A Manchester Metropolis fan is preventing for his life after an alleged assault following their Champions League match in opposition to Schalke.

Metropolis workers have stayed in Germany to help the 32-year-old supporter, who police say has suffered “an enormous traumatic mind damage” and is being handled in hospital with an “acute hazard to life”.

A police assertion stated there was a “violent conflict” between Metropolis and Schalke supporters at 10.50pm native time (9.50pm UK time) on Wednesday.
